SFS Kids has a lot of great music resources. It shows the instruments of the orchestra and plays an audio file as you look at different views of the instrument. Instrument families can be used with 6th grade General Music. The Music Lab can be used for general music students to compose and arrange a piece of music.
MusicTechTeachers has several games to review and test knowledge of different concepts used in reading music. Everything from naming notes on the different clefs to ties, slurs, chords, and more. It also has student work uploaded as audio files, worksheets to download, and more that can be incorporated in all elements of music class. There are scales for string's students to use along with Music Career flash cards for 7th grade general music and rhythm exercises for instrumental music.

Star Spangled Banner website contains the history of the Star Spangled Banner and Francis Scott Key along with details about the Battle of Fort McHenry that took place between teh Americans and the British.
